Thy Word is a Lamp Unto My Feet Outreach

Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments. [Psalm 119:105, 106]

What is the Gospel?

There is good news to accept and believe in…

WHAT DOES “GOSPEL” MEAN?
Gospel comes from the Greek word euaggelion, meaning “good news” or “good message.” The heart of this message is faith and love in YHWH and in His son-made-flesh, Yahushua.

WHAT IS THE GOSPEL GOOD FOR?
The “good news” YHWH has for His creation is that He loves them “with an everlasting love.” It is not necessary to remain separated from this love. Humanity’s current status with YHWH is one of sin:

Now we know that what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become subject to the judgment of God [Romans 3:19].

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear [Isaiah 59:2].

The Lord had a plan in place from the beginning of Time, to counteract Humanity’s disobedience (see What is Salvation?).

WHY SHOULD SOMEONE PAY ATTENTION TO THIS GOSPEL?
People pursue alot of things: friendship, prosperity, good health, happiness. Why do they chase after these things? Is the Lord on that list?
For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; because that which may be known of God is manifest to them; for God hath shewed it unto them [Romans 1:18, 19]. Those who choose to ignore what is revealed are lost — and the wrath of YHWH is on them.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a mind void of judgment […] [Romans 1:28]

A depraved mind can’t form correct judgments. The heart is hardened to the voice of Omnipotent Wisdom. YHWH is a loving Creator and Lord (see What and Who is YHWH?); the Lord’s never-ending love for Humanity is beyond understanding. He loves each person as though he or she were the only lost soul in the world. And Yahushua would have given His life for that one person even if there had been no other sinner to save.

Never forget: every person is precious in His sight. He loves you and cares about you.

THE GOOD NEWS OF THE GOSPEL…
…is to accept salvation as a gift. Trying to “obey” or “be good” without the Lord’s gift and power doesn’t last. All who recognize his or her own sinfulness and need to change, who ask in faith for salvation, will receive it. The “good works” a person does are a result of the Lord’s leading. Remember: YHWH loves everyone alike and forgiveness is simply for the asking. Once the gift is accepted and faith in that gift is acted upon, then a person’s lifestyle change is made (or “worked out” within himself/herself).

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast [Ephesians 2:8, 9].

In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten son into the world, that we might live through him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his son to be the propitiation for our sins [1 John 4:9, 10].
